Though humans have a tendency to judge people by how they look, including their skin color, God does not judge us by color; He judges the heart.

But does the Word of God really condemn such mixes as those above?

Is there ultimately any such thing as “inter-racial marriage”?

In America, as we continue to see the influx of people from all different cultures, who have all different colors of skin, it is imperative that we search the Scriptures so see how we should live.

There is no place in the life of the Christian for favoritism based on race (James 2:1–10).However, the reason for this command was not skin color or ethnicity. The reason God commanded against interracial marriage for the Jews was that people of other races were worshippers of false gods.The Israelites would be led astray from God if they intermarried with idol worshippers, pagans, or heathens.In fact, in the Old Testament provisions were made for Gentiles to convert to Judaism (cf. This has resulted in many people today, consciously or unconsciously, having ingrained prejudices against certain other groups of people.
